Due to Covid restrictions, we can no longer host the Grad mass at the church. As an alternative, we will have a Grad Mass in the school gym with minimal staff and graduating students only. The mass will be live streamed for families and the school community to view.
Students are to arrive on Thursday at 8:40am in the common area, where they will be instructed where to go to receive their cap and gown. Please wear your Sunday best - for the males shirt and tie look best, for the females, often a sundress works best under the gown.
After Mass and speeches, a group photo will be taken. This is our one opportunity to collectively gather as a group of graduates to take a group photo. This Mass is mandatory, again this is where they will receive their cap and gown. If students do not attend, they must see Mr. Palmer to pick up their gown.
Once the Mass and speeches are complete, students become responsible for their own cap and gown which will be needed in its entirety for Friday’s ceremony. We do not have extra of any of the items, if students forget, lose, or soil no extra will be provided. Therefore, please ensure the graduate takes care of the ensemble.

Each family must have preselected a time on the sign-up form. When you arrive in the parking lot, ten minutes prior to your time slot, you will be directed to a parking area where you will be checked in by a staff member. At this point, everyone must ensure they have hand sanitized at the station provided and you are all wearing a mask.
After initial check in, please proceed to the front of the school where another staff member will organize the group specifically according to sign up and students will be provided with a rented stole for photos and walking the stage - it must be returned after the last photo opp.
Once your family enters the school, you will walk past photo opportunities. At each photo opportunity you will have time for photos. A staff member will be available to take the photo for you. Please ensure this is done in a timely fashion as we have a schedule to maintain.
After photos, students and parents will be directed by a staff member where to go next. During the presentation of the certificates, there will be a professional photo taken by Watson's Foto Source - made available at a later date from Watsons.
Once the grad leaves the stage, they will exit the gym for one more photo opportunity and receive a gift bag. At this point, please return the borrowed stole.
Please leave the school grounds immediately after exiting the school. We are required to have no gatherings outside.
The event will be streamed on our school Facebook page for the day, and made available through our school YouTube at a later date for your convenience to download.
Reminders
Graduation is a school event and therefore students and/or family members who are under the influence of drugs (legal or illegal) or alcohol will not be permitted on our property. Students who do not follow these expectations, will be suspended according to the school Code of Conduct. Please remember there is no smoking or vaping on school grounds. Please help us keep this event safe.
Students in isolation because of a school event will be accommodated on an alternate date. Students in isolation because of a non-school event will not be accommodated. Please keep your contacts small for the two weeks before graduation.
