Preparing our Students for life after High School!

We are excited to announce that Learning Clicks will be coming to St. Joseph Catholic School on January 17th, 18th and 19th; half our grade 10's will receive the presentation on the 17th and the other half on the 18th and 19th. This is a presentation provided by the Alberta Government that is targeted at Grade 10 students and it's focus is to ultimately give students an insight into the world after high school so they can focus on the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to foster now in order to be successful after they graduate from High School.

My name is Alison and I am emailing you on behalf of the Government of Alberta and the Learning Clicks program. I’m a post-secondary student who provides  presentations to students in to help them make tough choices about their futures and plan for a career/post-secondary.

Some of the topics we cover are:

  •        Exploring interests
  •        Career Planning
  •        Researching job profiles
  •        Discovering post-secondary options, including how to pursue an apprenticeship
  •        Making choices that are a good fit for YOU
  •        Scholarships and Student Aid, including the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship
  •        Information about how students can start preparing for their next step right now
  •        Really, we help students navigate their choices for life after high school!

Bonus: Our presentations are curriculum approved and our resources contain the most up-to-date and accurate information specific to Alberta.

Looking forward to presenting to your students!
